4. Course Description:

This course provides an introduction to the structure and function of the body systems of domestic animals including: dogs, cats, horses, cattle, swine, sheep, goats, poultry. The following major body systems will be studied with special emphasis on species differences and an expanded section on lactation: the integumentary, skeletal, muscular, cardiovascular, lymphatic, respiratory, digestive, urinary, nervous and sensory, endocrine and reproductive systems.
