4. Course Description:

This course provides weekly half-hour private lessons with the instructor covering beginning through advanced music proficiencies in knowledge and performing skills on a secondary instrument (guitar). Skills and literature will be specific to the instrument (guitar) and the individual level of the student. One studio/jury recital performance per semester. Students enrolled in this course must also be enrolled in MUSC 1441: Applied Music Lessons - Guitar I. This course is repeatable.

1. Lecture Sessions

Basic music reading skills, basic playing techniques on the specified instrument, basic methods books for each instrument.  Advancing levels of instruction and literature as the student progresses.

Private lessons will be given with each student with individual guidance regarding specific and special performance problems. Student questions are addressed at this time and teacher evaluation and guidance as to specific task for the next lesson are addressed
