This foundation course develops the competencies and skills for the project management process of planning, organizing, coordinating, leading, and controlling resources to accomplish project objectives. This course guides students through the project management tools and behavioral skills necessary to successfully launch, lead, and realize benefits from projects in both profit and nonprofit organizations. Successful project managers possess the skills necessary to manage their teams, schedule, risks, and resources to meet project objectives. Students explore project management with a practical, hands-on approach through class discussions, exercises, and project case studies.
