4. Course Description:

The purpose of this course is to provide students with a supervised experience working at a human service agency. Students will gain knowledge and skills relevant to social work concepts as well as practice modeling the values and ethics of the profession. Students working in the human services or social work field are often required to complete and pass and Minnesota Department of Human Services background study. Passing the background study is not required to complete this program, but may be required for some field experience placements and/or jobs in the field.
