the course:
- Identify key steps in the design of a weldment.
- Calculate the appropriate flat stock (developed) material length required for lay out of a weldment.
- Perform the steps to lay out a weldment.
- Setup and adjust for bending allowance appropriate fabrication equipment.
- Manipulate automated fabrication equipment.
- Manipulate manual fabrication equipment.
- Develop the ability to construct 3 dimensional weldments from 2 dimensional prints and layouts
- Determine appropriate weldment fixtures to secure components during the welding procedure.
- Develop and apply appropriate inspection and quality assurance procedures to weldments.
