1. Plant Care
- Prepare a campus planting bed for winter
- Collect plants and plant parts for analyzing and categorizing
- Collect and analyze campus soil
- Propagate herbaceous and woody plants
2. Tours
- Tour the turf industry (sod farm and peat plant)
- Tour the arboretum
- Tour the local healing gardens
- Tour a local apple orchard
- Tour Munsinger Clemens Gardens
- Tour Bailey Nursery or Len Bush & Bachman’ (every other year)
- Tour a local berry farm and organic farm
3. Analyze greenhouse media
4. Compare and contrast how to start your own business
5. Organize and execute fall cleanup
6. Interact with several guest speakers from different parts of our industry
