• Use both customary and metric measuring systems
• Identigy basic measuring tools
• Describe the use of common measuring tools
• Use decimal and metric conversion charts
• Demonstrate proper use of precision measuring tools (i.e. micrometer, dial indicator, dial caliper)
2. Fasteners, Gaskets, Seals, and Sealants
• Identify commonly used automotive fastners
• Remove, select, and install gaskets, seals, and sealants correctly
• Identify basic nut and bolt terminology
• Recycling and disposal of autoshop wastes
• Clarify purposes and goals of the EPA
• Identify proper disposal of all automotive wastes
