4. Course Description:

This course focuses on preparing for your Human Services Internship. You will evaluate your readiness for the internship and select an internship site. You will analyze your strengths and opportunities for improvement as potential human services workers. You will establish goals and criteria for your internship site selection and interview with potential internship sites. At the end of this course, you must choose and be accepted by an appropriate internship site approved by program faculty. You will be required to complete a criminal background study through the Minnesota Department of Human Services. To begin your internship next semester, you must be 18 years of age to work in the field.
