- Students will be able to conduct basic fitness assessments, including body composition and cardiovascular endurance evaluations;
- Demonstrate an understanding of the impact of and how to properly elevate your heart rate;
- Gain knowledge of proper walking techniques, posture, and biomechanics to optimize performance and minimize injury;
- Demonstrate how to develop and implement an individualized walking/running program; and
- Cultivate a commitment to incorporating walking into their daily routines as a sustainable form of exercise.
