4. Course Description:

The course involves the study of general laws of chemistry, periodicity, atomic and molecular structure and physical and chemical changes. Students will learn how to read the periodic table of elements, balance chemical equations, differentiate between various types of chemical bonding, perform calculations related to moles and molarity, gas laws, thermochemistry, and pH, draw and explain Lewis structures and molecular geometry, and complete experiments demonstrating chemical laws and theories.
