This course is an introduction to painting with an emphasis on technical and conceptual development. Students explore the fundamental methods and techniques of painting, using color, form, and space. This course will challenge students to generate ideas, experiment with meaning and metaphor, develop aesthetic sensitivity, and participate in critique and self-evaluation. This is a studio art course. MnTC Goal 6
