4. Course Description:

This course covers State of Minnesota standards and procedures for a Commercial Driver's License (CDL) road test. Students are required to test in a tractor-semi combination with a manual transmission and air brakes.

7. Other Prerequisites
Minnesota Department of Public Safety (MN DPS) regulations state that students will need to complete a self-certification form and provide a valid medical examiner certificate, in addition to providing proof of U.S. citizenship at the time of a commercial learners permit application. The forms and certificates needed may take up to 60 days to obtain. Students are strongly encouraged to meet with the Heavy Equipment coordinator and/or faculty to ensure that they are in compliance with state regulations before registration.
