- Locate and use developmentally appropriate materials using a variety of print media and technology.
- Demonstrate proficiency in generating unit and lesson plans for a contemporary curriculum in the specialty area.
- Apply accepted instructional design principles to adapting curriculum materials to present real-world scenarios for the students in the content areas.
- Design learning experiences that help students draw relationships among concepts and topics in the specialty area.
- Provide opportunities for students to work with newly acquired concepts and ideas in a variety of settings.
- Execute unit and lesson plans that the intern has either generated or modified to meet the developmental needs of students int eh specialty area.
- Use developmentally appropriate language to present concepts and ideas contained in the lesson plan.
- Teach needed independence skills (e.g., daily living, medical monitoring)
