2. Course Specific Outcomes - Students will be able to achieve the following measurable goals upon completion of
the course:
- Explore software interfaces and select appropriate tool for publication;
- Leverage the options bar to manage individual tools to meet project goals;
- Perform palette handling including to adjust secondary functions such as transparency, color, and styles;
- Perform document setup per project stipulations including dimensions, color, and format;
- Perform selecting objects function within applications;
- Understand and apply color mode;
- Use Type tool for adding text to publications;
- Perform file management including versions, formats, and backups;
- Perform freehand drawing using digital paintbrush and pencil tools;
- Transform and adjust a selection to meet guidelines;
- Explore filters and apply when necessary;
- Explore effects such as drop shadow and stroke;
- Understand and describe editing paths as connected to the publishing process; and
- Save and export documents to various formats.
