4. Course Description:

These courses provide 30 minute private lessons with the instructor once a week covering basic music knowledge and performing skills on the medium specified (brass, woodwind, instrumental, piano, voice, guitar). Skills and literature will be specific to the instrument and individual level of the student. One studio recital performance per semester. This course is repeatable and is part of the Music AFA Degree, Music Technology AFA Degree, Jazz Studies Certificate, Music Performance Certificate, and Music Technology Certificate. MnTC Goal 6

Private lessons will be given with each student with individual guidance regarding specific and special performance problems. Student questions are addressed at this time and teacher evaluation and guidance as to specific task for the next lesson are addressed.
